Principal of Love
By Patricia McLinn

August
2010
Meet Josh Kincannon, high school
principal, single father of three, and thus, as he reminds
himself ruefully, essentially celibate back into misty memory
and forward into the foreseeable future.
After three months of trying to work with
Vanessa Irish via phone and e-mails, Josh believes he has an
accurate picture of Zeke-Tech's CFO:
Conscientious? Oh, yeah.
Intelligent? Absolutely.
Agreeable? Not so much.
Then he catches sight of her wild,
vibrant robe and begins to wonder what other elements might form
a portrait of Vanessa Irish.
Every time she goes into her
I'm-so-boring-I-disappear-against-white-walls act, he remembers
that vibrant, wild fabric hanging on the corner of a door and he
gets curious. And the more curious he becomes, the more he
discovers about her that has him feeling things a whole lot
hotter than curiosity. Things that threaten that celibacy claim,
scrape against his high school principal job and shake up life
with his three kids.
Numbers, that's what Vanessa likes.
Not all this interaction with people that she's been pitched
into. Especially interacting with Josh Kincannon. Why does he
insist on drawing her into his town, his life, his family? And
the biggest question -- what kind of man is this, who not only
looks at her, but sees her,
when that's the last thing she wants?

Romance Reviews Today
"I … settled in to let Ms.
McLinn take me to small town America to meet her true-to-life
characters that felt like the folks next door. Jennifer and
Trent developed right before my eyes and I was thrilled to see
Jennifer grow into an independent woman and Trent to finally
realize he didn’t always have to be in control. Tall, dark,
handsome and sensitive, can’t get much better than that! Thank
you Patricia for the delightful read." –
CataRomance.com
“Fully
expecting a poignant, heart warming story, I wasn't
disappointed. … The town of Drago has insinuated itself into my
heart and I can only hope there is another installment with this
small town as its setting. “

Romance Junkies
“ … a nice,
fast, and heartwarming read … I was pleasantly surprised at the
strength and generosity of the characters. They were well
developed and could easily have been my neighbors. The
small-town values and closeness were very well portrayed.”

full of emotional webs, capturing the hero and heroine … (A)
family's secrets well-written.” ~

Everyone thinks life has been easy for pretty, popular
Jennifer Truesdale. In reality, it's been anything
but--especially since her no-good ex-husband left her in dire
financial straits with a child to raise. She'll show them
all--including her impressionable daughter--that she can stand
on her own.
And then, in walks her ex-brother-in-law, Trent Stenner--a
former football player whose success was built on brains, not
brawn. He's here to pick up the pieces of the family business
after his brother’s failure. And just possibly, to try to do the
same thing with the pieces of Jennifer’s heart…

"4
Stars -- an often amusing story that also taps a deep well of
emotion." ~ Romantic Times
"Darcie, the heroine, is a real
treat, and the writing is quite sophisticated." ~
Romance Reader at Heart
"4.5 Stars! No wimpy characters
in this book. Zeke and Darcie are both strong characters with
enough faults to make them human and real to the readers. I hope
to see Jennifer get her own story told someday, in addition to
Vanessa (Zeke's business partner). In the meantime, rest assured
... you will never get bored." ~ Detra,
